You might have noticed the schedule looks a little skinny these days. Wish I could say the same for me but that’s another topic.
We have quite a few shows lined up for 2007 and some we’re in the middle of negotiations so be patient. I will have some of the new ones posted in a week or so.
Carry on.
IF you want to see as well as hear what we sound like, catch the video on the home page. This was taken during our after-hours showcase for the California Bluegrass Association. There are two videos to watch. One is “Old Uncle Bill” and the one on the homepage-”Travelin the Highway Home”. Hope you enjoy them both.
Hey Prairie Flyer fans,
This morning I went in for a minor surgical procedure. Something that people of my vintage are supposed to go in for to make sure there aren’t little polyps running around somewhere. I am happy to report I made it through with flying colors and won’t have to do it again for 10 years. It’s pretty painless so if you are contemplating this procedure don’t hesitate. Right before they began the nurse told me that I should be feeling a little warm and that’s the last thing I remember before waking up in the recovery room. They told me I would have a little amnesia today and I have found that to be true. I had to re-learn the words to every Prairie Flyer song. Tomorrow I will start on the Neil Young stuff I used to do and the day after that I think I will review all the Beatles catalog.
We are looking forward to the show in Thompson Falls, MT this weekend so if you’re looking for a great road trip, get in the car and come on over. We play at 8 pm.

Well, here is the first edition of Prairie Flyer Ramblings and I will be trying to update you on happenings in the band and some of our travels. I suppose the first thing we would like to say is that we just returned from Nashville a week ago after attending the IBMA conference and we had a good time.
We are traveling this weekend to the small town of George, WA for a show and then the next day we are doing a benefit in Wenatchee. Both of these shows are listed in the schedule for further info. We had a blast the last time we played in George and are looking forward to it again.
Tonight I’m doing something a little out of character and that is doing a singer-songwriter gig at the Empyrean Coffee House in Spokane. I will feel naked without the band and these songs I write are pretty short without all the breaks so it should be an interesting time, if not downright frightening.
So long for now and I’ll try to add something every few days. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me in the contact section of the website.
Happy Trails,
Jim
